Timothy Ford, Database Administration EditorTimothy Ford is a Senior Database Administrator for Spectrum Health Hospital System. He has been working with Microsoft SQL Server in the capacity of either a Developer/Analyst or Database Administrator since 1999. Tim also has experience as an Oracle DBA, Microsoft Office developer, Systems Engineer, and Web Developer. His is also an author of SQL-centric technical articles for MSSQLTips.com, SQLServerCentral, and Simple-Talk.com. Timothy earned his MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer)certification in 2001. His favorite aspect of SQL is mining information from the system databases for monitoring metrics. He currently administers over 80 SQL Server instances hosting 1000+ databases. Timothy has been a volunteer leader within the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) since 2002 and presents their annual Quizbowl event in addition to serving on their Programming Committee and Editorial Committee. He is also the leader of the recently-formed West Michigan SQL Server Users Group at http://www.WMSSUG.org which has the distinction of being the 50th local PASS chapter.
